This month we are focusing on diligence.  The Bible has a lot to say about “the diligent,” so let’s define what that is.

Being diligent means we are constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything.

Sounds like those people who don’t quit or let up until they get what they want.  It’s not just about consistency; it’s about maintaining the same level of energy and focus.

I’ve been serving, leading and loving for over a decade and I can tell you it’s not always easy to keep the energy high and the focus sharp.  But here are some things that help. metal keys

Remember that you’re called to this.

Remind yourself why you answered that call in the first place.

Imagine what would happen if you didn’t do it.  Sometimes the negative picture can motivate us more than a positive one. Like people who exercise to avoid a heart attack!
