Navigating A Breakup-Making Power Moves
Point #1 EVERYTHING is not meant to last forever!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (Amp) “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven…”
Times change, people change, seasons change. There are some things designed to last forever and some things are not. So often the blessing is in the blessed place and the promise is in the promised land.
NOTE to Leaders: Every orientation for a new job or position should include how to handle conflict and how to leave.
Point #2 Don’t Be A PREMIE
In the order of God, one season prepares you for the next. If you leave too soon, you won’t have the wisdom or strength you need to win in the next season.
Note to Followers: God will use even a harsh leader to teach, train and sharpen you.
Point #3 Read The SIGNS
Sometimes, we just don’t want to see what God is showing us. If you’re prone to false loyalty or codependency, this will be key for you. One of the things the Holy Spirit does for us is lead us into all truth. When He leads, follow.
Note to Leaders: Two signs you should look for, the grace will lift and your replacement will appear on the scene.
Pont #4 Be Willing to Decrease
Don’t be seduced into disobedience by what you think you’ll lose in obeying God. When God says go, go. His plan is always to increase you.
Note to Followers: Remember the way up with God is often down and humility precedes honor.
Point #5 Don’t Move for the WRONG reasons.
Your power move should be a response to the Word of God, not a reaction to the devil or anyone else.
Note to Leaders: Don’t make leaving the cardinal sin. People who leave are not always mad or offended. So bless and do not curse folks as they leave your organization…even if it hurts your ego.
Point #6 Tell to people who NEED to know when they need to know it.
Communicate to those who will be directly effected by your power move. We know the difference between getting wisdom and gossiping. Talking to too many people will start rumors and lead to sin.
Note for Followers: Have the courage to tell your leader BEFORE your colleagues. Information is power and others will use your Power Move to put you in a dishonorable light.
Proverbs 4:25-27 Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
Success and Progress!
