Difficult Conversations Part 2: Restore, Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
For Kingdom leaders, success is measured by what we do and how we do it. The ends never justify the means. So what do you do when a valuable, productive, member of your team finds himself up to his eye balls in sin? One word: Restore… through a difficult conversation.
When faced with a team member’s indiscretion, it’s only natural that our thoughts tend toward ourselves and our organization. We’re called to build people, not just ministries or companies. So let’s push past self-protection and fear and focus on the broken person in front of you.
Engage them in a difficult conversation. Ask the hard questions to discover where they are and how they got there. Then seek God together for the road map back to the place of health and righteousness. Before you replace, look to restore. The results are usually worth it.
Success and Progress!
