Don’t Even Think About It
I’m always reading something. Right now I’m reading-and living-Woman Act Now by Anna McCoy. It’s an amazing work that is mentoring me through some exciting times.
In a section about why people loose confidence, Anna lists wondering what people will think as one of the culprits. She says “other people aren’t thinking about you as often as you think they are.” As I read that line, the Lord added “and no one thinks about you as much as I do.”
This week-end I was meditating on Psalm 40 and paused in amazement at verse 5, “Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of the, they are too many to be numbered.” (italics added)
Again God was reminding me that no one thinks of me more than He. Add to that the truth that God’s thoughts about us are all good, and the result is freedom! One of the most valuable lessons I’ve ever learned is to NEVER make a decision based on what you think someone else might think. I make a point to teach that everywhere I go. Over the years I’ve learned that if your motives are pure, and your heart is right towards God, you’re free to move forward and fulfill your destiny.
Don’t be hindered wondering what people are thinking about you. No one is thinking about you more than God, and He’s thoughts for you are all good.
