Don’t Miss Your Catch

And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find [some] John 21:6

The Apostle Peter said, “I’m going fishing!” The others said, “We’re going with you.” It just looked like another bad night on the sea. No fish to be had. That’s the way it is in life. Sometimes you win and sometimes the current just isn’t flowing your way. But not for believers!

Our Success is not based on chance, luck or any external force. It’s based on diligent obedience to the Word of God. The Word of God and the voice of God in our hearts give us a marked advantage… if we take it.

The Spirit of truth leads us into all truth. (John 16:13) The Word of God lights our path. (Psalm 119:105) Knowing this, don’t be so quick to accept failure. Seek and heed instruction from the ultimate source of wisdom. Even in something as seemingly insignificant as casting your net on the other side.

We know God put those fish there by His miracle power. But those fish would never have been caught without the disciples’ obedience. There’s a miracle waiting on the other side of your boat. Catch it; don’t let it swim away.

Success and Progress!
