We live in a demanding, distracting world. Often the things we hope will help us focus are the very things that cause the greatest distractions.
So how do Kingdom people live a focused life in an unfocused world? The Bible teaches there’s a time for everything under Heaven. But, that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to do everything under Heaven. The world says if it feels good do it. The church says if it is good, do it. So what am I saying? Just this, “Every time you say yes to anything, you’re saying no to everything else.” It all comes down to priorities.
So how do we set priorities? It’s simple but not easy. Start by answering two questions. Who is most important in your life? What is most important in your life? Then practice saying yes to what is on that list. Here’s the hard part, say no to what is not. More on priorities next week, but for now…
