Fix Your Heart
Psalms 112:7 (KJV) He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
Is your heart fixed? Was it ever broken? Actually, in this verse “fixed” refers to being established. Think of an anchor, firmly planted and fixed so that its ship (your life) is not moved by waves, not even storm waves (evil tidings.)
Maintaining a “fixed heart” only comes from trusting God. Developing trust comes from meditating on the Word of God. It requires filling your heart with so much faith until you are virtually unmoved by the messages of the world or the attacks of the enemy.
Phil 1:28 teaches that when you stand unafraid in the face of your enemy it sends a clear message of their impending doom and your impending victory and both will happen because of God.
Developing a fixed heart will require sacrifice, and a definite reset of priorities, but take heart because the rewards are worth it. The Bible says about this fixed-hearted believer that among other things, wealth and riches will be in his house. I’m lowering my anchor!
