We’ve all heard that phrase “Nobody’s perfect,” however, there are people the BIBLE refers to as “perfect.”
‘Noah was a righteous man, and –perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God.’—Gen.6:9
The Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God and esoheweth evil?’ Job 1:8
We know, God didn’t call these men perfect because of perfect behavior. They were flawed men with a heart to please God. They were FLAWSOME.
The word perfect means a lot of things; whole, complete, or mature. That’s the heart we want! That’s the heart we’re commanded to have.
How to be FLAWSOME
God perfects our hearts as we yield to Him in every area of life.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6
But may[d] the God of all grace, who called us[e] to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 5:10
Lead better: Stop being afraid of your flaws
Recall what God told Israel The Lord did not love you and choose you because you were greater in number than any of the other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. Deut 7:7
Follow better: Surrender to God in every area of life.
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. 2 Chron 16:9 KJV.
God is NOT looking to show off YOUR strength. He’s looking to show off HIS strength!
