Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation 1 Peter 2:2 (AMP)
I’ve never met a baby who didn’t drink milk in one form or another. In fact, most babies are nourished on a steady diet of milk for the first several weeks of life. The Word of God is compared to milk. And we believers are instructed to crave after it like newborn babies, in its purest, most unaltered, untainted form.
Now, if you’re like most leaders you’re thinking, “Dr. Ross, I am not a baby!” And for the most part I would agree with you. But every time I face a new challenge or step into a new arena I consider myself a babe all over again. Like a newborn, I crave the Word of God on that subject to nurture and grown me unto completed salvation in that area. Do you need nurturing in your attitude? Are your bank accounts malnourished?
