Higher Thoughts Higher Ways

Isaiah 55:8 (AMP)
8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord.

Maxwell Maltz, a successful plastic surgeon, said, “Self-image” is the key to human personality and human behavior. Change the self-image and you change the personality and the behavior.” There is a direct correlation between the behavior we see on the outside and an internal picture we have of ourselves on the inside. I call it PR’s law of “thoughts and ways.”

As leaders it’s important to remember before we can help someone do better, we must first empower them to think better. That’s how the Kingdom of God works. In Isaiah 55 we see God making a connection between higher thoughts and higher ways. In Proverbs 23:7 we understand that the real man is found in his thoughts and not always in his words.

Trying to change from the outside without addressing the inside produces frustration and failure. So the next time someone you’re leading is acting like a clown, use the word of God to raise their thoughts and bring a new image that does not include a big red nose.

Success and Progress!
