I Dare You! Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
I’m a “Midwesterne;” I live seven minutes from Lake Michigan. As such, I know how to gear up for our temperamental weather. I may need snow boots in the morning, sun block in the afternoon and a raincoat by evening. Sometimes, we Christians can view our faith as weather gear to insulate us in adverse atmospheres. This week, I want to challenge that paradigm.
Jesus didn’t give the disciples raincoats and goggles when they were caught in a life-threatening storm. He stood up and stopped the storm. And He expects us to do the same. Matthew 8:26 (AMP) …Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness).
Yes, we should cover ourselves in the blood of Jesus. But we should also activate the authority that blood purchased for us. Are you facing a storm? Why cope when you can overcome? Use faith-filled words to release the winds of change. Be an atmosphere changer! I dare you!
Success and Progress!
