I Want You, Mentoring Moments, the 1min blog
“And He went up on the hillside and called to Him [for Himself] those whom He wanted and chose, and they came to Him.” Mark 3:13 (AMP)
Often as great leaders mature they begin to build a team, impart to others and look for those who will carry their legacy. But have you noticed that building a team was the first priority for Jesus? Here’s how He did it.
According to Mark 3, Jesus consulted with His Heavenly Father and then chose those He wanted to be with him and to have power.
It’s O.K. to choose the people you want, if you want them for the right reason. We want to make sure team relationships are mutually beneficial. Can you be as passionate about their character and well-being as you are about their gifts?
The people on your team should carry your heart and spirit. They can only get that from being with you. Leaders, you can delegate anything, but only you can be you, so show up.
Jesus trained and expected His team to walk in power and authority. It’s our job to build, develop and delegate. Remember recruit followers and train up leaders.
Success and Progress!
