Learn to Juggle, Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.” Luke 10:42 (MSG)
This month we continue to talk about priorities. I want to share some wisdom given to me from one of the Kingdom Leadership Development staff members. Her name is Eliane. She’s brilliant you can find her everywhere on social media.
Here’s what she said. When it comes to priorities, most people are trying to be a tight rope walker and balance everything at once, when they really need to learn to juggle. In Luke 10 we see Martha balancing many things and full of frustration. Her sister, Mary chose the ONE THING that was essential and had peace. Studies prove that consistent multitasking trains your brain to be easily distracted and lowers the quality of overall results.
Juggling allows you to hold one thing at a time. Give it your full attention while everything else waits. What’s essential for you today? Do that, and when you’re done, do the next things.
Success and Progress!
