Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog: Call me crazy but…
And He said to it, No one ever again shall eat fruit from you. And His disciples were listening [to what He said]. Mark 11:14 (AMP)
“Now listen up you! I’ve had enough of your disobedience and rebellion!” There’s no telling what my neighbors were thinking. Up until now, they had heard very little from the mostly quiet mom and minister. But there I was, lips tight, finger pointed, voice raised taking complete authority over my daughter’s car. Yes, I was speaking to the car, not at it or about it.
As crazy as I may have looked I was exercising a Kingdom principle. Jesus spoke to a fig tree in Mark chapter 11. The tree had leaves which indicated there should be figs. When the Savior found no real fruit, He cursed the tree. I’ve seen my mom speak to her sewing machine in order to complete a seamstress job on time. And I can’t tell you how many devils I’ve cast out of the copy machine at work.
Are you experiencing frustration from something that should be a blessing? Listen for the prompting of the Holy Spirit to speak directly to it. Don’t worry about looking a little strange. Normal is very overrated.
Success and Progress!
