Mentoring Moments, the 1 Min Blog: Extreme Obedience, Extreme Exaltation
Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name… Philippians 2:9 (AMP)
But if you press rewind you’ll see that each of these heroes had a season of extreme obedience. They each had to give up their own lives and submit to
God loves to take people from the bottom to the top. Often He does it virtually over night. Think about Esther, Gideon and Joseph. God brought them from obscurity and made each a household name. They were heroes celebrated through the streets of Israel.
the will of God, even when it seemed dangerous or life-threatening to do so. Esther risked her life and saved a nation. Joseph spent 14 years in prison because he refused to sin against God. Gideon faced an innumerable enemy with an army of only 300 men.
Each was extremely obedient and each was extremely exalted, but none so much as our Lord Jesus.
And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Philippians 2:8 (AMP)
Do God’s instruction seem a bit extreme to you? Follow them, it will cost you your lower life, but history has proven those who are extremely obedient will be extremely exalted.
