Mentoring Moments, the 1 Min Blog: I Know Who I’m Not!

In category, faith, jesus, John #:17

There’s so much to learn from Jesus’ confident, compassionate leadership style. He’s the perfect example of time management, people development, team building and more. I’m most impressed with how He led himself. Jesus was clearly focused on His purpose, passion and people. (Shout out to Eugene and Andrea Mason for teaching me that 3-P principle www.eugeneandandrea.com).

Check out the Lord’s encounter with Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews in John 3:17. Right after Jesus makes one of His most famous statements about why He’s here in verse 16, He went on to say why He’s not here.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17 (KJV)

Jesus never took opportunity to condemn anyone, not the woman caught in adultery, not the leaper, not the man blind from birth, not anyone, because condemnation was not why the Father sent Him. As we move forward in understanding our 3-P, it’s OK to be comfortable knowing who you’re not. NOT called to politics? Singing NOT your thing? NOT the gourmet cook? It’s all good. Enjoy being and doing YOU.

Success and Progress!
