Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog: Walk in the Light!
John 3:21 (AMP)
But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].
I prefer natural light over light bulbs. One morning I was doing some cleaning and it suddenly dawned on me that the room was dark. The windows were open but there wasn’t a lot of sun out. As I turned on the light God revealed a truth. He said, “As much as you may want to get things cleaned up, and as much effort as you’re prepared to put towards that goal, you will not effectively clean this house without light.”
We all know people who have tried to “get their lives cleaned up” in their own strength, only to face the frustration of failure. Without the light of the Word of God, we are left to compare ourselves by those around us instead of attacking the area where God’s light is shining.
Are you ready to live in a fresh clean “house?” God’s word will guide you, His grace will empower you. Turn on the light!
