Mentoring Moments, the 1 Minute Blog: SHUT IT DOWN!
She kept following Paul and [the rest of] us, shouting loudly, These men are the servants of the Most High God! They announce to you the way of salvation! Acts 16:17 (AMP)
I do a considerable amount of reading online. It’s free, and saves time. But with cyber territory come pop-ups. Those often annoying, sometimes tempting little ads appear on my computer screen and seem to say “Hey! Look at me! Look at me!” Entertaining these pop-ups could lead me down a proverbial rabbit trail that not even Alice would have imagined.
Recently the Lord showed me how the enemy presents “pop ups” in the lives of believers. These are not divine opportunities, but demonic distractions meant to frustrate your progress and divert your course. Like online pop-ups, working around them is not always an option as they can obstruct your view. This is demonstrated in Acts 16 when after enduring many days, the Apostle Paul being “sorely annoyed and worn out” cast out a demon spirit from a slave girl. There were some repercussions but God used them to bring salvation and redemption to many.
Are you encountering pop-ups? If it’s an opportunity from God: ENTER. If it’s a demonic distraction: SHUT IT DOWN!
Success and Progress!
