2 Samuel 6:3 (AMP)
And they set the ark of God upon a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
I am a natural planner. Taking numerous details and putting them in logical order is a part of my administrative gift. The challenge with us planners is we are often tempted to lean to our own understanding. When God gives me a “what,” I have learned to wait until I also receive a “when” and a “how.” Doing things God’s way can be the difference between success and failure. For King David it was the difference between life and death.
David knew it was time to bring the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem, but he didn’t do it God’s way. That oversight cost someone’s life. Even though David’s intent was right, he had the agreement of all the people and his actions were filled with great enthusiasm, it wasn’t God’s way. The results were disastrous.
As you receive direction from God, be patient. Allow God to give you the details. Meditate on His word until you can literally see what He is saying. Then move forward in peace and confidence of an assured victory.
Success and Progress!
