Push Past Them
Recently, my husband and I attended our friend’s 50th birthday celebration. It was a very special night. We were surrounded by friends and fellow believers all dressed up in an elegant atmosphere. After enjoying a delicious four-course meal, we hit the dance floor and proved that mama and daddy have still got it!
What made the night so special were the people who were there. It’s easy to have fun with friends. But have you ever thought about God’s promise in Psalm 23 of preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies? How can you enjoy the blessings of God when the thing that seeks to destroy you is standing by?
Will you receive God’s favor and risk that others may be jealous? The new position you desire is on the other side of that scary interview. The divine health you’re seeking may involve driving past the drive-through.
Don’t wait for the coast to be clear to take a leap of faith. Apostle Paul said “evil is always present.” (Rom 7:21) Intimidation is designed to starve you to death. Push past the presence of your enemies and enjoy all that God has laid on your table.
