Put Away the Worms
I love to teach and preach about believers bearing fruit! I’ve often said that there’s no greater witness than a changed life. When we are made righteous through the blood of Jesus, our lives become an offering to those who are hungry for life.
If you are wise, your fruit will attract the hungry, not offend them. Now don’t get me wrong, there will always be haters who are mad because you are not sad. I’m talking about people who are genuinely hungry for the living bread and thirsty for living water. Those are the people attracted to your love, your joy, your peace, your patience, your kindness, your goodness, your faithfulness, your longsuffering and your self-control.
Your fruit will give you influence and position you to lead others, as bread crumbs in the wilderness, right to the tree of life. That tree is the cross of Christ. Call it relational evangelism. Call it being a light in a dark world. But whatever you call it, don’t forget it. If you’re fishing for souls, put away the worms. God increases influence where there’s fruit.
