Runners To Your Mark, Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize… Philippians 3:14
This month we’ve focused on legacy.
The Bible describes our journey with the Lord as a race. We’ve been given a mission to reach the world. How we respond to that assignment will determine the legacy we leave.
When a race is set before us, we can’t just show up and start running. The work of the race comes long before the day itself. We prepare ourselves and along the way partner with others to take more ground.
I’m reminded of Moses’ life. When his journey began, the Lord designated others to join him; each of them offering a unique service to the vision.
Some would say that Moses didn’t hit the mark because he didn’t see the Promised Land. But the Kingdom is more of a relay race than a personal sprint, and a single runner can only take the baton so far and then hand it off. Your impact as a leader isn’t defined only by what you do but whom you’ve prepared to carry on. Leaders to your mark!
Success and progress!
