Shut-up and Shine

Philippians 2:15 (AMP) ……….. among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world

This past summer I spent some time in the high dessert of northern California. The mountains were beautiful and the sky could take your breath away. We spent the first night watching shooting stars. There we were lounging on the deck, amazed that God had arranged this spectacular light show just for us!

This experience reminded me that we, Christ-followers are to shine like stars. According to Phil 2:14-15, we can do it when we simply refrain from complaining, grumbling or fault-finding. As the world around us gets darker by moment, believers will have greater opportunities to shine-just like stars in that dark mountain sky.

During this season of fasting, I challenge you to refrain from the need to complain. Clean out the negative gunk from your soul and embrace new positive possibilities. Sing it with me. Shining star for you to see what your life can truly be! OK. I couldn’t resist.

Success and Progress!
