Stick To Your Story! Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing. Mark 5:36 (AMP)
Wise folks used to say, “Baby, just tell the truth. It’s easier to remember.” They were right, the truth never changes. But it will be challenged by what you see and hear and even by those you love.
It happened in Mark 5. There was an important leader whose daughter was sick. He asked Jesus to lay hands on her so she would live. That was his story. Jesus agreed, but on the way they got delayed with someone else’s miracle. He stuck to his story; “lay hands, she’ll live.” Then came bad news, “You’re daughter’s dead!” but Jesus told the man to stick to his story; lay hands, she’ll live. When they arrived at the house, people laughed in their faces. Jesus put them out, and stuck to his story. Lay hands, she’ll live.
If God has spoken to you, don’t let a delay, bad news or even the opinion of others change your story. This leader got his miracle and believe me, you’ll get yours.
Success and progress!
