Stop Being A Peacekeeper, Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
All month we’ve been considering a new year’s revolution. We’ve been turning in a different location and seeking a new perspective. I’ve been rethinking what it means to be a peacemaker. It’s not what you think.
For years I thought being a peacemaker meant not rocking the boat, you know, letting sleeping dogs lie. But peace is not pretending that everything is o.k. Peace is being complete, sound and whole. And sometimes you’ve got have a revolution to get there.
Being a peacemaker means boldly addressing the places in your life that are incomplete, unsound and broken. It means doing what is necessary to bring real peace to the situation. That’s what children of God do.
