Who Are We? Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
“Team building” is a familiar term. However, the art of building a team is more about “team finding,” and it starts with knowing who you are.
My greatest asset is my team. So it makes sense that our number one training request is for team building. Winning teams, have an attractive culture founded on common values, interests and passions. When you, the leader, are able to articulate who you are and what you believe, it’s like broadcasting a sonar signal that attracts and finds the right people.
The actions of people reflect what they think of themselves; the same is true for teams. Consider this; Jesus is the light of the world. He said to His team, “You are the light of the world.” As followers of Christ, we must fully embrace that identity before we can stop rolling our eyes at people who are in darkness and start showing them the way out.
The stronger your corporate identity, the easier it is to identify what you’re called to do and receive God’s power to do it. Leaders answer the first question, “who are we?”
