You’re the Boss, Here’s Your Apron, Mentoring Moments, the 1 min blog
Today my mom told me about a man whose mother called to get him a job. Later in the day, I thought about the mother of the apostles James and John. She went to Jesus and asked if her two sons could sit on His right and left in the coming Kingdom.
Jesus explained to her that the position was not His to give. He also asked if her sons could handle that level of leadership. In the kingdom, leadership is not about being a baller or a shot caller.
The world views leadership as an opportunity to lord over and take ownership of people. Jesus said … it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
Kingdom leaders build others when we choose to SERVE, LEAD and LOVE. So pick up your apron and let’s lead.
Success and Progress!
